Get Unstuck: We are Designed for Motion!
We’re Meant to Move: Physically and Mentally
As a woman with many hats as many of you are, I get it—life pulls us in a million different directions. Amidst all the hustle, there’s one thing we can’t afford to neglect: movement. And I’m not just talking about squeezing in a workout between carpools and meetings. I’m talking about a deeper kind of movement—the one that keeps us growing, learning, and becoming more than we were yesterday.
Human beings are designed to move. Think about it: Our bodies thrive when we’re active. Our minds light up when we’re learning and pushing ourselves. Yet, so many of us find ourselves stuck—whether it’s in our routines, our thoughts, the mundaneness of life, or even in our workouts. When we stop moving, both physically and mentally, we start to feel stagnant. We’re not meant to stay in one place, either on the couch or in our minds.
So, what’s happening when we feel stuck? Maybe it’s that comfort zone lulling us into a false sense of security. Maybe it’s fear of failure or the overwhelm of daily life. Often it’s a negative cycle of thoughts that we continue to allow, or hurts that we continue to be a victim to. But here’s the thing: Staying in one spot—whether it’s physically on the couch or mentally in a rut—doesn’t serve us. It drains our energy, leaves us feeling unfulfilled, and chips away at our confidence. It causes those around us to miss out when we are not walking fully in our purpose.
The key is recognizing when you’re in that space and taking small, intentional steps to move out of it. Start with a short walk, try a new workout, or simply set a small goal that pushes you out of your mental comfort zone. Maybe it’s even deeper and it’s time to get some counseling or ask for help. Whether it’s big or small, it’s amazing how little actions can compound over time, reigniting that spark and propelling you forward. Often when we think we need a major overhaul, sometimes a small thing like a walk can get us back on track.
Let’s accept the responsibility in our lives that we’re not meant to stay still both physically and metaphorically. Let’s commit to moving—our bodies, our thoughts, our lives—in ways that make us feel alive, connected, and being true to our purpose. Because when we move, we grow. And when we grow, we become the best versions of ourselves. And when we become the best versions of ourselves, we inspire and uplift our surroundings!

Things I've been loving lately...
Apricot Turkey Sunrise Sandwich
I was craving a breakfast sandwich with some turkey and egg whites, and wanted a fun flavor mix. Did some exploring of ingredients, and came up with this sandwich and it did not disappoint!
For one serving stack:
1 Thomas light whole-grain English muffin
1 T. Skinny Girl sugar-free apricot jelly
60 grams deli turkey
1/2 cup egg whites
25 g mashed avocado
handful of arugula
salt & pepper
Toast your muffin. Cook egg whites. Heat turkey. Layer ingredients and enjoy! For meal prep, you can layer the English muffin, turkey and egg whites and wrap and keep in fridge or freezer, heat, and add rest of the ingredients at time of eating. I've been having this with a side of fresh berries & some more egg whites on the side!

Peanut Butter Fudge Protein Powder
You just can't go wrong with mixing peanut butter and chocolate in my opinion! This flavor just hits right in my Creamis, shakes, or added to oats or coffee. The great thing about Legion is that they make superior products with all-natural and clinically effective ingredients and dosages while many company's are using cheap ingredients and tiny doses. With Legion there are no cheap fillers and no cut-rate ingredients, which makes my gut happy!

My Walking Pad!
The thing I get asked the most for a link is my walking pad! If you follow me on Instagram, you see that I get a lot of use out of this with my early morning wake ups. I used to get my steps by walking around my kitchen island, so this has saved my floors from quite a bit of wear and tear! Ha! It's so lightweight, small, mobile, and easy to use. I've never seen it as low as it is now with the coupon. This is a great time to buy for the winter that is coming!
I used to think walking was for old people, but I've learned that a life of movement not only gives me energy, it helps me feel good with proper circulation, keeps the lymphatic system going, releases endorphins for the brain and so much more! I have maintained a lower weight with ease more with walking than I did with fast paced cardio that just wore me out. It is such a great activity for all around health, and anything that assists you in getting those steps is worth it!
If I'm lagging behind in step or movement count, I even put it under my desk and walk and work!
